Important Instructions for Candidates
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time for searching and seating
- All morning sessions begin promptly at 8:30 AM
- Candidates arriving more than 30 minutes late may not be allowed to sit the paper except in exceptional circumstances
- Write in black or blue ink only (fountain pen or ballpoint, NOT erasable pens)
- Use pencil only for diagrams
- Bring mathematical and drawing instruments for relevant subjects
- Ensure your name, assessment number, signature and date are written on answer booklets
- Check that all pages of your question paper are properly printed
- Write on both sides of the paper but do not use margins
- Only KNEC-approved mathematical tables are allowed
- Only non-programmable calculators may be used where permitted
⚠️ Strictly Prohibited
- Cell phones or any electronic communication devices – Results will be cancelled if found in possession
- No books, notes, or unauthorized materials allowed in the examination room
- No communication between candidates or with outsiders during the assessment
- Leaving the examination room before time expires without supervisor permission
- Taking question papers or answer sheets out of the examination room
- Using erasable pens or writing materials not approved by KNEC
PENALTY FOR IRREGULARITIES: Any candidate who commits an assessment irregularity will have results for the ENTIRE SUBJECT cancelled. Cases of impersonation, cheating, or possession of unauthorized materials will result in criminal penalties as per KNEC Act No. 29 of 2012, including imprisonment and fines up to KES 2,000,000.
